Microsoft Not Gouging Europe
So, Microsoft is doing the PR thing and talking around the fact that the antitrut issues in Europe are causing their prices for Windows 7 in Europe to be higher. However, no matter how you look at it, that is what is happening. Frankly, I think it is good and see no problem with it. If the regulations of a particular market cost you more, then you should pass those costs on into the market. If that makes you non competitive in that market, then you adjust. It seems to me that it makes and awful lot of sense.
A top Microsoft executive today denied reports that European users will pay more for Windows 7 because of the company’s wrangling with antitrust regulators.
