Personally, I find spring to be of great use from a library perspective. I also tend to think of it as a toolkit for frameworks (maybe even a framework for frameworks). In that regard I think it does exceptionally well. I do, however find that there seems to be some unnecessary complexity and that the maintenance of code constructed using these tools requires more skilled personnel. Thoughts?
