Publishing without DRM can Increase Sales
This is an interesting article on how David Pogue ran an experiment with publishing a freely available book on the web. Most publishers are petrified of piracy. However, Pogue and his publisher decided to run an experiment to test whether or not DRM actually mattered when it came to total sales. The results are really interesting.
The results? It was true. The thing was pirated to the skies. It’s all over the Web now, ridiculously easy to download without paying. The crazy thing was, sales of the book did not fall. In fact, sales rose slightly during that year.

Hopefully, this has made a few believers and will bode well for content on the upcoming tablets.
